About

I believe that process matters — that how we work together, is as important as what we work on.

Over the past 20 years I’ve worked as a teacher, designer, manager, creative director, product manager, coach and consultant. I’ve built web interfaces for the likes of Elance, Newsweek and HBO, and managed design teams for a major daily newspaper (and several weeklies). I’ve also managed the design and production of software products for industries as varied as telecommunications, marketing and CRM, and worked with large and small businesses on management and group dynamics.

I earned an MBA in 2006 where my focus was on how processes and team development affected the bottom line of a business.

My work currently focuses on applying Agile and Lean thinking to high-tech start-ups. I train and build the teams and processes that produce excellent software quickly.

I care deeply about change — personal, organizational, societal and planetary — you know, the small stuff — and am as passionate about good food, health, quality relationships and global sustainability as I am about bottom-line success.

I hope you enjoy the musings I post here — and I hope you tell your friends.
